11/12/2011

I.    Thank you to Christina for extending the use of her house

II.    PRAYER by Lorraine

III.    INTRODUCTIONS
a.    State Name, P1/P2/P3, what branch of family
b.    4 generations represented at meeting

IV.    Treasurer’s Update by Lorraine
a.    Close to $4000 in the family fund

V.    FAMILY PICNIC
a.    May 26, 2012 – Memorial Day Weekend
b.    Summit Park in Bonita
c.    Giant Gazebo
d.    BBQs
e.    Clean Restrooms
f.    Blog will have a dedicated space for the Family Picnic information
g.    Rent spaces for camping are available, call to reserve ASAP.
h.    9 sites have been reserved by family members, if we get 10, we get a discount
i.    Committee Update
i.    Activities – Christina and Weenee
1.    Clown, Relays, Watermelon eating contest, Musical Chairs, Activity Center for crafts, 3 piñatas
2.    Relays and Activities will be broken down by age group
3.    Signage for activities times will be posted
4.    Water park may be open depending on weather
5.    We will need lots of volunteers
ii.    Entertainment – Stevie, Bernadette, Carmel and Bianca
1.    Booked DJ for $250 for entire day. 
2.    We will be able to use his PA system for announcements
3.    Stevie will look into bands in the beginning of the year
iii.    T-Shirts
1.    Colors will be picked by seniority
2.    Order form will be posted on website and blog
3.    Each person is in charge of ordering their own t-shirts
4.    The shirts are not being paid by the family fund
5.    T-SHIRTS WILL BE PRINTED UPON RECEIPT OF PAYMENT

VI.    VALENTINE’S DAY DANCE
a.    Saturday, February 11, 2012
b.    Location – American Legion
c.    Tickets are $10/person which will be sold at the door
d.    Main hall holds 100 people and back room about 50 people
e.    Due to capacity, we will sell within the family
f.    21 and Over ONLY
g.    Casual Attire
h.    No food, only snacks on table such as chex mix, etc.
i.    Raffles tickets will be sold at dance
j.    DO NOT BRING OWN ALCOHOL, THE BAR WILL BE OPEN
k.    Committees
i.    Decorations – Mona
ii.    Selling Tickets at Door – Monica and Katrina
iii.    Clean Up Crew – Katrina, Stevie, Shounie, Gabriel
l.    MOTION PASSED – EACH FAMILY WILL BE IN CHARGE TO MAKE A BASKET FOR THE RAFFLE

VIII.    ANNOUNCEMENTS
a.    Tootsie – wants to invite the family to her and Shounie’s house in Menifee for a future meeting.  We decided to hold the meeting their in March after the Valentine’s Day Dance

c.    Dukie – has season tickets to SDSU Basketball game – he has 6 available tickets for free  
d.    Cash for Gold Fundraiser – Hosted by Bianca
i.    Special Thanks to Bianca for hosting and putting this fundraiser together
ii.    Family fund made a total of $550!!!!!
e.    Denise also donated $30 to the family fund from her recycling. THANK YOU!!!
f.  FAMILY FUND MADE A TOTAL OF $580.00 AT THE MEETING!
